About Me

IMG_6350My name is Racheline Maltese, and I am a DONA-trained birth doula currently working towards certification.

Why do I doula? Simple, I’ve always been the person people call when they’re facing major transitions around life and death. I’m good at logistics, problem solving, emotional support, and helping people dig deep. I can distill complex information into clear options, and love to help people tell their own stories and make their own choices.

Over time, I will also be pursuing training and certification in postpartum care,  support for other reproductive needs (e.g., abortion, pregnancy loss), and end-of-life/hospice support. As a native-New Yorker currently living in Brooklyn, I seek to bring my city’s direct, matter-of-fact style to life’s big moments in all their complexity and excitement, joy and sorrow.

Birth. Life. Death: It’s what New Yorkers do.
